Handi Medical Supply in conjunction with other businesses and organizations from around the Twin Cities tried our best not to get sunburned as we showed our adaptive bikes at the 10th Annual Bike Expo & Sports Jam Saturday, May 7th at Courage Center in Golden Valley, MN. The event is co-sponsored by Courage Center and Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and offers children and adults with disabilities and their families to take a test ride on the latest equipment – handcycles, bicycles and trikes – as well as other adapted sports equipment. Handicappers Kick Off the Season in Style

Yesterday was the first official kickball game of the season for your beloved Handicappers.  Although we were not victorious in our debut, there were many bright and shining moments.

The Handicappers did manage to score a few runs and made some acrobatic catches.  If you couldn’t make it to the game last night you missed out on Kent “Double Play” Donnelly as he instinctively caught the ball and tagged second base for a two outer to close out the inning (they already had 1 out).  Some other highlights were turned in by Matt “Lightening Fast” Liljequist with his cat like reflexes covering first base and making unbelievable over-the-shoulder catches.  Read more

Product spotlight: Lift Chairs

Tuesday, May 3, 2011 @ 11:05 AM  posted by jbuytaert

Why do we carry Golden lift chairs?  Why not!

Golden lift chairs offer a wide array of fabric selections and styles, a limited lifetime warranty on the chair frame, lift mechanism, and recline mechanism.

The frames are made out of Northern Maple – not the particle board that other manufactures may use. Golden is one of the only manufactures to design from the ground up for one purpose – to build a lift chair, while other manufactures retro fit a recliner with a lift mechanism.

Your insurance may pay for part of the lift chair if you qualify, so call or stop by and one of our friendly customer service staff will be happy to assist you.
