MCTC Continuing Education Offers Seminar for Aging-in-Place
MCTC’s Continuing Education will offer an Aging-in-Place seminar on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the MCTC campus in downtown Minneapolis.
This one day seminar is offered for those who are contemplating alternatives to placing elderly relatives in specialized age care facilities. This seminar will provide an overview of local services and programs available and how to approach the necessary modifications needed in a home. Speakers will present on a range of topics such as: in-home care options, senior day care, home renovations, aids for the elderly, being a caregiver, insurance issues, safety, respite, support groups and life after living-in-place.
